Victor Campos Leal
Mexico City born Víctor CAMPOS LEAL launched his European career singing the Duca (Rigoletto), followed by Nemorino (L’Elisir d’amore) in autumn 2012 (both at the Opera of Breslau, Poland, under the baton of opera director Prof. Ewa MICHNIK), Basilio (Le Nozze di Figaro) under Tadeusz ZATHEY and Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) with Bassem AKIKI on the conductor’s podium.
In 2013 Breslau saw his debut of Ismaele (Nabucco), again with Prof. Ewa MICHNIK conducting, followed by his Europe-debut of Conte d’Almaviva (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) at the Grand Theatre Wielki in Poznan. In Breslau he also was Alfredo (La Traviata) then Rodolfo (La Bohème) and was performing in Rigoletto, Nabucco and L‘Elisir d’amore.
He started the 2013/14 season with his debut as Nadir (Les Pêcheurs de perles) in Breslau and gave a further world debut as Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor) . He appeared again in Rigoletto, Nabucco and L’Elisir d’amore and returned as Conte d’Almaviva in guest performances at the Grand Theatre Wielki in Poznan. In June 2014 he celebrated his 10th role debut in Breslau with Macduff (Macbeth), a megaproduction by stage director Bruno BERGER-GORSKI, on the pit Prof. Ewa MICHNIK.
In summer 2014 he toured as Conte d'Almaviva the first time through Italy’s Northeast ad throughout Slovenia; mid July he was Duca in the Rigoletto premiere at the opera festival Regensburg, at St. Emmeram castle, in presence of H.H. Gloria Thurn und Taxis.
