The tenor Jevgenij Taruntsov was born in Tschernigov/Ukraine and had his musical education as a clarinet player in his native town and later on in Odessa, where he also undertook his vocal training. In 2001 he continued his vocal education at the Hochschule für Musik „Hans Eisler“ Berlin with Reiner Goldberg. In 2002 he orticipated in masterclasses with Inge Borkh and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau.
From 1994 -2000 he was clarinet player in the philharmonic chamber orchestra Odessa and performed as a soloist in Odessa and other cities of Ukraine, as well as a soloist and composer at the theatre Tschernigov.
In his vocal career as a tenor he performed in 2003 in the theatre of Schwerin, the Konzerthaus Berlin, in 2005 at the Theatre Klagenfurt, Austria, 2005 -2007 at the Theatre Bremen, 2007-20013 at Saarländisches Staatstheater, 2008 at the Croatian National Theater Zagreb, 2009 at the Latvian National Opera, 2008-2010 Teatro Sociale di Mantova und am Teatro Coccia di Novara, and 2012 the tenor was successful at the Lehár Festival Bad Ischl, Austria.
His repertory includes among others the leading tenor parts in:
Carmen, Jevgenij Onegin, Pique Dame, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Macbeth, La Bohème, Madame Butterfly, La Cenerentola, La Damnation de Faust,
Lustige Witwe, Zigeunerliebe, Pariser Leben, Die schöne Helena, Die ungarische Hochzeit.
