Sung min, Song
In January 2013 Sung min, Song came out as Ortlieb Tulbeck in a performance of the rarely performed opera "Feuersnot" under the baton Ulf Schirmer for the 150th birthday celebration of Richard Strauss at the Prinzregententheater Munich with the Bavarian Broadcasting Orchestra and Choir ( CD production BR-Klassik).
The young tenor first drew attention to himself whithin numerous international singing competitions including the International Music Competition Osaka for singing where he won the 3rd prize, 2013 the Anneliese- Rothenberger- 2nd Award, 2015 the Richard Strauss Vocal Competition with the Special Award, the Culture Gasteig Music Award and Luitpold Award of the Musiskfestival „Kissinger Sommer“.
Sung Min, Song was born in Seoul, Korea and studied Computer Technology. Thereafter he graduated in singing 2008 with the Yonsei University (Bachelor). 2011 the tenor perfectionated his vocal education at the Academy of Music in Munich in the fields of Musiktheater, Concert and Lied- interpretation with Prof. Daniel Kotlinski, Prof. Frieder Lang, Prof. Doland Sulzen.
He participated in the production of Munich Prinzregententheater (March 2012) of "La vida breve". In Munich and Stuttgart he sang the role of Romeo in "Romeo et Juliette“ by Gounod. In 2014 during the Münchner Opernfestspiele he sang in the “Petite messe Solennelle“ by Rossini and in “Verdi Requiem” in the Berlin Philharmonie under the baton of Enoch zu Guttenberg. Again Rossinis “Petite messe Solennelle“ during the Musikfestspiele Dresden in 2015. At the „Kissinger Sommer“ Musikfestival followed a Concert and at the Richard Strauss Festival the Opening Concert.
In october 2015 he was the tenor soloist in “Stabat Mater“ by Dvorak with the Prag Pilharmonic orchestra in the Munich Herkulessaaal. In the season 2015/16 he will be present in the Philharmonie Köln in a Gala Concert with WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln conducted by Lawrence Foster. He will sing Rossinis “Stabat Mater“ with Bamberger Symphoniker as well as in the in Palau de la Musica in Valencia and an Opera Gala Concert with „L’ochestra di Padova e del veneto“ in 2016 at the „Kissinger Sommer“ Festival.
