born near Munich, Judith Spießer completed her vocal studies with Wolfgang Brendel at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. Already during her studies she performed in concerts at renowned festivals in Bergamo and at the young artists festival in Bayreuth. The soprano perfectionated her studies with Helmut Deutsch, Juliane Banse and Christoph Hammer as well as in masterclasses with Lioba Braun and Marlis Petersen. She was in the final round of the Louis-Spohr competition, Kassel and received there the public prize. In 2009 she made her debut as „Queen of the night“ in Mozarts „Magic Flute“ with the Quatar Philharmonic Orchestra and performed several times as a soloist in Quatar .
Further parts were Adele in „Fledermaus“ (the Bat) by Johann Strauss, Despina in „Cosi fan tutte“ and Fauno in „Ascanio in Alba“, both by Mozart.
The soprano performs a broad concert repertory too.
During the season 2012/13 she was member of the ensemble at the Landestheater Neustrelitz. During the season 2013/14 she was Germaine in the operetta „Tanz auf dem Pulverfass“ at the theatre in Gießen. From January 2015 on she is Gilda in Verdi's „Rigoletto“ at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern.
